This is a temporary assignment offering a unique opportunity to collaborate with our legal departments across multiple European countries, including Belgium, Poland, Hungary, and others.  
As Contracts Counsel, you will work closely with teams in various jurisdictions, gaining invaluable exposure to the nuances of local laws and regulations. This role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their legal expertise through hands-on experience in a dynamic, cross-border environment that will enhance your understanding of international legal practices and contracts management.
You will draft, review, and negotiate different types of contracts, for example consulting agreements, engagement letters, waiver letters, confidentiality agreements, subcontracting agreements. You will work closely with consultants on a variety of engagement-related legal matters on a daily basis and provide them with legal advice on a variety of engagement-related legal issues and on internal compliance and risk management topics. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating contractual terms; will work together and liaise with other lawyers, contracts counsels and paralegals in Benelux and across Europe in diverse jurisdictions; and will collaborate with colleagues (Europe and worldwide) outside the legal department (e.g., risk managers, external relations/communications, office and practice leadership, local administrative leaders).

  • Fluent in English, with the ability to draft and negotiate contracts in additional languages (i.e., French, Polish, Hungarian, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian) as role will assist various European countries
  • 2+ years of professional experience acquired which must include law firm experience  
  • Top academic credentials, law degree and Bar qualification required
  • Ability to work on an independent basis, with moderate supervision, and awareness of when to escalate issues to more senior regional lawyers or specialist lawyers within the department
  • Excellent organizational skills
